They were able to do so at a speed far beyond the capabilities of the most able of humans, however. With a capacity to almost instantly pursue the outcome of each and every combination of all possible choices, AI systems soon learned to find solutions to complex technical problems and also to defeat the most skilled of human game opponents. In pursuit of self serving agendas, Man provided AI with access to the internet.
